Rich Wurzbach – CLS

President

Rich Wurzbach has 25 years of experience in the development of Condition Based Maintenance programs and the applications of diagnostic technologies for industrial equipment. His expertise lies in the applications of Infrared Thermography, Lubricant Analysis, Airborne Ultrasound and the integration of various diagnostic technologies for equipment assessment.

Rich’s past experience includes work at the Three Mile Island, Limerick, and Peach Bottom Nuclear Plants. He has also made technical presentations at the American Wind Energy Association and Wind Energy Update conferences in the US. He has served on two research teams in Denmark studying lubrication and sampling practices for off-shore wind turbine components, and worked alongside employees of Vattenfall, DONG Energy, Statkraft, and Aalborg University to research, publish and present main and pitch bearing sampling best-practice procedures at international conferences in Europe.

Rich is certified by the International Council on Machinery Lubrication (ICML) as a Machine Lubrication Technician (MLT-II), Machinery Lubricant Analyst (MLA-II), and Laboratory Lubricant Analyst (LLA-II). He is ASNT Level III in PdM-Infrared and Thermal Testing.

Rich was responsible for the design and development of the Peach Bottom Oil Analysis Laboratory, and designed numerous innovative products to improve the practice of oil sampling and analysis. He helped to advance the ASTM Standard Practice for Obtaining In-Service Samples of Lubricating Grease (D7718).  He authored the Electric Power Research Institute’s report “Effective Grease Practices” and was a co-author of the EPRI Report, “Lube Oil PdM, Handling, and Quality Assurance Guideline”. He is on the AWEA CBM Committee that has developed Recommended Practice guidelines (RP-812 through 815) for Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance. He has presented and published over 50 scientific papers.

Rich holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Millersville (PA) University, 1988.

Dylan Kletzing – LLA I

Laboratory Manager

Dylan Kletzing has been with MRG labs since 2019 and currently serves as the Laboratory Manager. Dylan has a B.S. in Chemistry from York College of Pennsylvania. At MRG, he works in the lab analyzing grease and oil samples, preparing data for customers, and participating in Research and Development projects.

Dylan’s background in instrumental chemistry has proven useful in the laboratory for research projects including mass spectrometry of greases and photoacoustic FTIR analysis of greases. He is certified by the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) as a level 1 Laboratory Lubricant Analyst.

Dylan is also a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Society for Testing and Materials.

Sloan Healy – MLA I

Quality Manager

Sloan Healy has been with MRG labs since 2021 and currently serves as the Quality Manager. Sloan has a B.S. in Forensic Chemistry and minor in Mathematics from York College of Pennsylvania. At MRG, she focuses on the maintenance of quality processes, but also assists with lab analysis, the preparation of data for customers, and Research and Development projects.

Sloan’s background in forensic chemistry brings a unique perspective to Root Cause Failure Analysis and Filter Analysis projects. She is certified by the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) as a Machine Lubricant Analyst I and a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials.

During her time at York College of Pennsylvania Sloan played on the field hockey team and is now a coach for Norlanco Stix. She is also an adjunct chemistry professor at York College of Pennsylvania.
