Compliant with ISO 18436-5, The Laboratory Lubricant Analyst Level I (LLA I®) course targets laboratory technicians performing daily activities, according to established ASTM procedures associated with testing of lubricant samples.
MRG Labs’ LLA I course covers the full body of knowledge as set forth by the International Council of Machinery Lubrication. By spreading the 24-hours of instruction over 5 days, we allow plenty of break time and still keep the schedule from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. US eastern standard time.
The training blends classroom with lab insights, and theory with real-world experience. You will get advanced lubricant analysis instruction, as well as live demonstrations of laboratory instrumentation, sample preparation, and results diagnosis.
Course Outline:
- Sample handling, cleanliness and contaminant re-suspension
- Lubricant Health Monitoring – 16 different types of tests and their ASTM standards
- Reagent Management and chemical handling
- Instrument Calibration
- Equipment and glassware cleaning and preparation
The course will be delivered by recognized subject matter expert Rich Wurzbach and is intended for lab technicians in a commercial laboratory and those responsible for on-site lubricant analysis for condition monitoring.
The 5-day course is also designed to prepare participants to qualify for and take the Laboratory Lubricant Analyst Level I (LLA I®) certification exam.
