Power Gen Workshop
June 12, 2018 - June 13, 2018
Power Generation is a vital contributor to the economy. Reliable and cost-effective power can impact nearly every facet of manufacturing and daily life. Lubricants are at the focal point for the reliability of nearly every mechanical system in a power plant, including nuclear, fossil, hydro, wind and even large solar installations. Turbines, gearboxes, electric motors, electro-hydraulic controls (EHC) systems, solar positioner gears, and wind turbine drive trains all require reliable operation through effective lubrication. When an experienced and capable workforce is armed with the knowledge of lubrication best practices including filtration, lubricant sampling and analysis, and condition-based lubrication replenishment, life extension of critical components and reduction in O&M costs can be substantial.
Power Generation professionals will gather for a 2-day workshop to tackle machinery care and reliability improvement issues through laboratory time, classroom workshops, a local tour and hands-on training.
Workshop sessions include Turbine Lubricants, Sampling and Analysis, Contamination Control, Varnish Detection and Control, Machine Retrofits for Sampling and Contaminant Protection, and Strategies to Reduce Lubrication Costs. Case Studies and Data Analysis will include use of the NAVIGATOR software app, to compile equipment histories and diagnostic data for predictive analytics.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to share best-practices with fellow Power Generation professionals and solution providers in a world-class learning facility at York College of Pennsylvania on June 12th and 13th.
